How I Think About the Therapy Process
As a relational therapist, my overall approach to working with folks is collaborative, holistic, culturally sensitive, and flexible. I use strength-based interventions to support general mental and emotional wellbeing informed by lifespan development, mindfulness, creative expression, and trauma-informed bio/psycho/social/cultural perspectives that are tailored to meet each client’s specific needs.
Who I Work Best With
The adults I work with are looking for ways to support general mental and emotional well-being, often contemplating change, or adjusting to life after significant loss, such as Exploring common shifts or adjustments as we grow across the lifespan; Traversing the landscape of all aspects of loss; Navigating new identities such as pre/postpartum and parenthood; or General adaptation to family/communal system’s needs or expectations.
Specialty Training and Services
I am a Loss and Grief Specialist, Compassionate Bereavement Care Provider, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional for individuals, families, and communities impacted by and adjusting to life after significant loss. Additionally, as a Board-Certified Art Therapist, my training also includes Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Somatic/Attachment-Focused EMDR, all of which can be adapted to meet specific mental, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Who I am Outside of Work
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, engaging in creative projects, playing outdoors with my dogs, and resting.
