Evaluations

Individuals seek psychological evaluations for a variety of reasons, including academic difficulties, treatment planning, and legal proceedings.

Individuals seek psychological evaluations for a variety of reasons, including academic difficulties, treatment planning, and legal proceedings. Regardless of the purpose of the evaluation, our clinicians focus on completing the process with care and respect for the individual. This means that with few exceptions, the person being evaluated will receive a full copy of the report and have a chance to discuss the results with the clinician upon completion of the process. We have found that maintaining this therapeutic stance helps to alleviate some of the distress that can be associated with psychological evaluations, and provides each person with a number of ideas about how to cope with the difficulties he or she is experiencing.

We offer comprehensive evaluations that are grounded in the most up to date science and measures available. Our clinicians have specialties in the following areas:

  • Posttraumatic Reactions (PTSD, dissociation, other emotional responses)
  • Psychological/Mental Health (diagnostic clarification, treatment planning, personality disorders, Aspergers / Autism)
  • Neuropsychological (TBI, memory, dementia)
  • Academic (learning disabilities, ADHD)
  • Medical (chronic pain, Bariatric surgery, presurgical considerations)
  • Forensic / Legal (court ordered, fitness for duty, risk of violence, adoption, parenting evaluations, expert, SSDI, asylum/immigrant rights)
  • Employer Mandated (fitness for duty, risk of violence)
