Clinicians
Amanda Cox, ARNP, PMHNP-BC
I offer compassionate psychiatric treatment to adults living in Snohomish and King counties, and across all of Washington State. I work together with my patients to create a personalized treatment plan. I accomplish this by taking the time to listen, ask questions, and learn more about the challenges each patient faces.
I conduct a thorough psychiatric evaluation with each patient that covers their history, current symptoms, and treatment goals. During the initial evaluation, I discuss different treatment options available, as well as medications that may help to address their symptoms.
Education
I am an ANCC board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who completed my advanced practice education and Master’s Degree at The Ohio State University. I completed my undergraduate education and earned my Bachelor’s Degree from South Dakota State University.
Who I Work Best With
I frequently treat patients who have been struggling with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma, and sleep disorders. I also have experience helping patients with smoking cessation and alcohol use disorder.
Who I am Outside of Work
In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, biking, and kayaking. I believe exercise and fresh air do wonders for a person’s well-being and encourage my patients to venture into nature whenever possible.
