Bonnie Zinn, PsyD
Bonnie Zinn, PsyD, utilizes a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy to support clients struggling with anxiety, depression, traumatic stress, chronic pain, illness, relationship issues, and insomnia. She believes clients are the experts on their experiences and their values and strives to provide new skills and perspective to facilitate change. Dr. Zinn integrates trauma-informed and evidence-based techniques into her work as appropriate to meet each client’s unique needs. She has experience working with military veterans and active-duty soldiers and is completing her post-doctoral fellowship at Spectrum Psychological Associates to enhance her skills working with complex trauma. She receives postdoctoral consultation from Dr. Bill Heusler and Dr. Tyson Bailey.

How I Think About the Therapy Process
I integrate trauma-informed and evidence-based techniques into my work to meet each client’s unique needs. I collaborate with clients to identify natural strengths and values, to gain insight into the ways past experiences shape current functioning, and to heal from traumatic experiences. I strive to provide new skills and perspective to facilitate change which aligns with client values and treatment goals.

I’m passionate about working with clients who are experiencing difficult reactions to traumatic events. I have experience working with military veterans, active-duty soldiers, first responders, and couples.
Specialty Training and Services
I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Seattle. I completed my pre-doctoral internship training at the Sepulveda Veterans Affairs Medical Center in California, focused on treating substance use disorders, complex trauma, sleep, chronic pain and a variety of other mental health disorders. I completed my post-doctoral fellowship at Spectrum Psychological Associates to enhance my skills working with complex trauma. I utilize a variety of clinical approaches to address client needs. I offer eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
Who I am Outside Work
I love to spend time with my family and friends, cooking, playing card games, playing tennis, and hiking. I have an established meditation practice which has helped to keep me grounded and present for over ten years. I’m an avid gardener and can often be found inspecting my flowers and veggies early in the morning with a cup of coffee in hand.
