How I Think about the Therapy Process

My approach to therapy is collaborative and integrative, which may include any combination of one or more techniques or therapeutic modalities that seem to be the best fit for you. My approach is warm, empathetic, and compassionate; qualities that are the keys to building trust and connection that help create lasting behavioral change to help you feel at peace with your parenting.

Who I Best Work With

I have worked in a variety of clinical settings and found my interest in providing compassionate therapy and guidance to adults and perinatal/postpartum women with a desire to improve their mental health, distress tolerance, and parenting burnout. Although I enjoy working with people across the lifespan, I have particular interests in working with postpartum mothers and older individuals.

Specialty Training and Services

I have training and experience with postpartum issues, as well as a certificate from Bastyr University as a postpartum doula. I have worked as a hospice social worker, supporting the family around issues of practical concerns as well as helping with psychological problems related to late-life adults, and unresolved family issues. I’ve also worked with people who are isolated because of mobility problems and rarely leave their homes.

Who I Am Outside of Work

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, reading and cooking. I also enjoy time working in the garden, weather permitting and playing with my three pups.
