How I Think about the Therapy Process
My style is informed by a relational orientation with the integration of evidenced-based strategies, including solution-focused, intersectional feminism, mindfulness, and behavioral approaches. By focusing on your strengths and preferences, we will create a collaborative treatment relationship that will meet your needs. By being adaptive, I can help you to solve problems or make changes that can lead to a more satisfying life for you and your family. I appreciate the educational aspects of therapy and will be transparent in explaining the approaches I use.
Who I Best Work With
I work with teens (13+) and adults across the lifespan. I specialize in working with people who have experienced trauma, including childhood maltreatment. I also enjoy working with LGBTQ clients, including those folx who identify as transgender. That said, I work well with a broad range of concerns. If you are experiencing challenges like depression, anxiety, grief & loss, identity development, life transitions, or have challenges in your relationships, we might be a good fit!
Specialty Training and Services
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and earned my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Seattle. With a strong focus on social justice issues, I have pursued additional training to work with the survivors of childhood maltreatment and people who are transgender or gender nonbinary. I offer in-person and telehealth therapy and am often joined in session by my therapy dog, Lilly.
I am also a certified psychedelic assisted therapy provider (PATP), certified by the Integrative Psychiatry Institute in partnership with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). I currently offer ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP).
Who I Am Outside of Work
I am a Puget Sound native and enjoy spending time in nature, with a special affinity for the ocean. I love cooking and baking, live theater and music, and spending time with my family and friends. My family includes two dogs and three cats, all of whom might make an appearance during a telehealth appointment.
