How I Think About the Therapy Process

My approach to therapy is person-centered and collaborative. I believe that you are the expert of your life, and I’m here to support you on your journey. I work to treat you as a whole, complex person, impacted by your family of origin, family of choice, as well as your communities, culture, and the society you live within. My therapy is integrative, drawing on a range of modalities, including Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Structural and Satir Family Therapy, the Intersectional Feminist Model, and Exposure and Response Prevention.

Who I Work Best With

I work with people across the lifespan, including children, teens, families, and adults. I am a part of the LGBTQIA+ community and especially love working with my own community of queer and trans folx. I am neurodivergent affirming and welcoming. I have also worked, and continue to work, to unpack my own colonization and decolonize my therapy practice. I use an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens in all of my therapy practice.

Specialty Training and Services

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, earning my degree from Antioch University Seattle. I have done additional, and intentional, training in decolonizing therapy and queering therapy and am a member of the Queer and Trans Advocacy Network (QTAN). I have extensive Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) training from both the international OCD Foundation (IOCDF) as well as NOCD. I have also done extensive training in Child Centered Play Therapy.

Who I am Outside of Work

I’m originally from southern Louisiana, lived many years in the Bay Area of California, then finally landed here in Seattle. When I’m not working, you can find me outside long-distance running, hiking, climbing, or backpacking. I also love watching women’s sports (go Storm and Reign FC!), and hanging out with my wife and feisty Jack Russel, Finn.
